Community Connect

St. Canice’s Credit Union has been serving communities since 1964.

The credit union had humble beginnings focusing on addressing the financial difficulties faced by ordinary people, it has since grown to currently being the most reputable organisation in the country.

A portion of this trust can be attributed to the credit union’s unwavering dedication to community. The Community Connect fund aims to support community groups, clubs and organisations in our common bond area surrounding our branches and spanning parts of four counties.

The fund contributes to projects that meet a recognised community development, social, cultural or charitable need for the community at large.

The good news is that Community Connect is grant funding and not a loan – the money placed in the fund by the Credit Union comes directly from any surplus generated by the products and services that you, our members, use every day.

Even better news is that we would love to offer loans to groups who need financing for their big dreams. If your group does need to consider borrowing for a development project you can also apply for a community loan, see more about this product and what’s involved in borrowing here.
