How To Apply For a
Current Account

What you need to open a Current Account

For you to open a Current Account, you must be a member of St. Canice’s Credit Union and resident in the Republic of Ireland. If you are 16 or 17 years of age, we require the consent of a parent or guardian for you to open an account.

Remember to bring your up-to-date photo ID (Passport or Driving License) and recent proof of address (bank statement or utility bill dated within the last 6 months)

A: Yes, you can get cashback up to €100 when making purchases at participating retailers. Additionally, you can withdraw up to a maximum of €700 per day at ATMs located throughout the country and abroad (withdrawal limits at ATMs may vary).

A: You can change your card PIN to something more memorable at most ATM machines. Simply enter your existing card PIN and follow the instructions at the ATM

A: If your card gets damaged, lost, or stolen, you should call Credit Union Card Services immediately at 01 693 3333. The Customer Services line is open 24/7. Calls are charged at your standard network rate, and charges from mobiles may be higher. New cards will be issued upon request within 7-10 working days.
