Community Connect aims to support significant capital projects that will add long-term benefits to the community.

The project should be sustainable and have longevity, meeting a recognised community development, social, cultural or charitable need for the community at large. Each application should appeal to a broad range of our members and should reflect the ethos and values of St. Canice’s Credit Union and the Credit Union movement.

The outcome of the proposed project will be visible and sustainable over a significant period. We are especially interested in projects that show collaboration or which offer services to multiple groups and have cross-community appeal.

Please Note:

Keep your answers as brief as possible while capturing the crucial details of your project

  • Funding can only be awarded to groups/clubs/entities and not to individuals
  • Projects should have an overall planned budget of at least €4,000
  • Projects must be located within our common bond
  • Groups who have previously been awarded funds from Community Connect can apply for funds but only where there is a new and separate project being undertaken and outlined in the application.

If you are lucky enough to be the recipient of some Community Connect funding, we hope to collaborate with you to creatively tell the story of your work. We want to tell the story of how together we can make a difference in the community.
