We believe meaningful change starts with small, intentional steps — this is the heart of our sustainability mission.

As we begin our journey, we are committed to making responsible choices, conscious of our impact on people and the planet. We strive to build a more sustainable future through thoughtful action, and we are always evolving — learning, improving, and growing with purpose.

We’re taking a closer look at our impact.

Individual energy surveys have been carried out at each of our branches to identify where savings can be made and how we can reduce our carbon footprint. This helps us set clear baselines, so we know where we stand, what needs to improve, and how far we’ve come over time.

Partnering for a more sustainable Kilkenny

In collaboration with Kilkenny County Council, we’ve helped develop a free-to-access water refill station outside Kilkenny Castle. This busy location not only provides clean drinking water to the public but also allows us to track how many plastic bottles are being saved — promoting both health and environmental awareness in our community.

St. Canice's Credit Union is going solar.

St. Canice’s Credit Union is going solar. Solar panels have now been installed on 7 of our 9 branches, with the final installation coming soon. This marks a major step in our commitment to sustainability, allowing us to generate our own clean energy and monitor our usage in real time. We’re proud to be building a greener future for our members and communities.
