We gave away €100,000 in 2024
As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, St. Canice’s Credit Union was delighted to announce that we had a fund of €100,000 available to support qualifying community groups and organisations in our common bond area surrounding our branches in High St. Kilkenny, Bagenalstown, Callan, Piltown, Graiguenamanagh, Ballyragget, Durrow, Mountrath, and Rathdowney.
The projects were required to be sustainable and have longevity, meeting a recognised community development, social, cultural, or charitable need for the community at large. Each application appealed to a broad range of our members and reflected the ethos and values of St. Canice’s Credit Union and the Credit Union movement.
The outcomes of the proposed projects were visible and sustainable over a significant period. We were especially interested in projects that showed collaboration or offered services to multiple groups and had cross-community appeal.
Community Connect aims to support significant capital projects that will add long-term benefits to the community.
