St. Canice’s Kilkenny Credit Union is now inviting applications for the position of Teller/Office Assistant.

We are currently seeking a Teller / Office Assistant to join our team at our High Street Branch, Kilkenny.

Position Summary

Reporting to the High Street Branch Supervisor, the successful candidate will provide a professional and efficient service to members while carrying out a range of operational, administrative and member service activities. The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day operation of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate should have the following Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Provide excellent service and support to members, responding to queries on Credit Union products and services.
  • Process member transactions accurately, efficiently and in accordance with Credit Union procedures.
  • Serve members across multiple channels, including in-branch, telephone and online services.
  • Carry out a range of administrative and organisational duties to support branch operations.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and professional development programmes as required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • APA Loans and APA Savings & Investments or QFA qualifications.
  • Excellent administrative skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working within a credit union or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements.
  • Full flexibility with working hours is required, including occasional Saturday working.
  • A strong member-service focus and commitment to delivering high standards of customer care.
  • Excellent IT and computer literacy skills.
  • Flexibility to work, when required, across any of St. Canice’s Credit Union’s nine branches. A full clean driving licence is essential.
  • This role is designated as a Controlled Function under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime and Fitness and Probity Standards will apply.
