St. Canice’s Credit Union Becomes Sponsor of the Waterford & Kilkenny Garda Youth Awards 2026
Sometimes the most impactful partnerships begin with a simple conversation. That was exactly the case when Inspector Alma Molloy met Ellen, our Marketing Officer, at a recent conference. During their chat, Ellen mentioned that St. Canice’s Credit Union would love to support the Garda Youth Awards and a few months later, we found ourselves proudly standing at the official launch as one of the sponsors.
Inspector Alma Molloy was among the speakers on the day of the launch of the Garda Youth Awards, alongside Waterford City Chief Superintendent Anthony Petit and representatives from the Community Safety Partnerships in both counties. Their message was clear that young people are making a remarkable difference in our communities, and it is important that we celebrate their contributions.
For us at St. Canice’s Credit Union, supporting the Garda Youth Awards is a natural fit. Our commitment to our youth members is woven into the very fabric of who we are. By recognising young people who go above and beyond, we reinforce the values of community spirit, volunteerism, and leadership, values that lie at the heart of credit union ethos.
