MABS is the only free, confidential, independent and non-judgemental service for people in debt or in danger of getting into debt in Ireland. It is a national service with over 60 offices nationwide with the Kilkenny office founded in 1994.
Kilkenny MABS assists people:
- Who have debt problems
- Who need ongoing support with budgeting and negotiation with their creditors
- Who need advice on money management
- Who need to use MABS budget accounts to pay their creditors
- Who are in difficulties with completion of Standard Financial Statements for their Mortgage Providers, The Courts Service and The Insolvency Service
While MABS is not part of St. Canice’s Credit Union, it is a very worthwhile community service that members may find of benefit.
