Community Connect awards funding to Piltown Community Enterprise Board

Piltown Community Enterprise Board

Piltown Community Enterprise Board is a non-profit organisation consisting of members drawn from other local groups and organisations, with a wide range of experiences and skills. Piltown Enterprise aims to create, promote and develop a culture of enterprise in the community by providing support, facilities, infrastructure, and the environment to encourage business development and job creation in start-ups and small businesses.

We were delighted to be able to award €10,000 to Piltown Enterprise Board. Piltown Enterprise Boards’ proposal in conjunction with Kilkenny County Council is to transform most of the Garda Station into a remote working hub comprising a mixture of hot desks, designated work desks, and designated offices.

This is very timely given the Government’s focus on remote working and their rural development policy and B4OC’s work to bring fast reliable broadband to the community.

The project will provide a high-quality and affordable office environment/facilities for those who are working outside of their employer’s office environment and for whom physically working from home is a less viable option.

We look forward to seeing the finished product and we wish them the best of luck. If you would like to find out more about community connect you can visit our website here
