Scholarship Draw – 2024

*Now taking entries for our 2024 Scholarship Draw*

16 WINNERS WANTED…. THIS YEAR WE WILL BE AWARDING 16 SCHOLARSHIPS, EACH VALUED AT €2,000.

As part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to announce that we have made our 2024 Scholarship Draw bigger and better.  We understand the challenges that young people face in pursuing further education and we’re proud to support our members and their families in achieving their academic goals.

Who will win…..
One scholarship will be awarded to a 6th year student from each of the 15 secondary schools in our branch areas who are commencing, for the first time ever, a full time college or university course or apprenticeship in 2024. The course or apprenticeship must be for a minimum of 2 years.

We also have an additional category for our Leaving Cert student members who are not attending any of the 15 schools in our branch areas or who sat their Leaving Cert before 2024 but who are commencing, for the first time ever, a full time college or university course or apprenticeship in 2024.  Again, the course or apprenticeship must be for a minimum of 2 years.

The Scholarship Draw is not based on academic results, it is a lottery and one winner from each secondary school and the ‘other category’ will be selected at random.

The Scholarship Draw is open to any student who;

  • Is a member of St. Canice’s Credit Union.
  • Has completed their Leaving Cert.
  • Is commencing (for the first time ever) a third level full time college or university course or apprenticeship of at least two years duration.

How to Enter: Entries into the draw will be accepted via our Online Scholarship Draw Entry Form 2024 only.

Closing Date: The closing date for receipt of entries is 14th September 2024.  Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
