Community Connect Fund

Community Connect FundAs part of our 60th anniversary celebrations St. Canice’s Credit Union are delighted to announce that we have a fund of 100,000 available to to support qualifying community groups and organisations in our common bond area surrounding our branches in High St. Kilkenny, Bagenalstown, Callan, Piltown, Graiguenamanagh, Ballyragget, Durrow, Mountrath and Rathdowney. 

Community Connect aims to support significant capital projects that will add long-term benefits to the community. The project should be sustainable and have longevity, meeting a recognised community development, social, cultural or charitable need for the community at large. Each application should appeal to a broad range of our members and should reflect the ethos and values of St. Canice’s Credit Union and the Credit Union movement. 

The outcome of the proposed project will be visible and sustainable over a significant period of time.

Please Note: 

  • Funding can only be awarded to groups/clubs/entities and not to individuals 
  • Projects must have an overall planned budget of at least €4,000  
  • Projects must be located within our common bond https://stcanicescu.ie/membership/what-you-need/  
  • Groups who have previously been awarded funds from Community Connect can apply for funds but only where there is a new and separate project being undertaken and outlined in the application. 
  • St. Canice’s Credit Union wants to tell our story through the success of the community groups we support please outline how you will acknowledge and promote the credit union in your area as creatively as possible.
  • Keep your answers as brief as possible while capturing the important details of your project
